Summer is here!
Lake Gregory is a wonderful place to visit and enjoy a relaxed mountain lake surrounded by towering pines. A day pass is only $10. If you want to play on the giant inflatables in the middle of the lake it cost an additional $25. Or there is a variety of floating devices you can rent by the half hour, hour or entire season including row boats, kayaks, belly boards, pedal boats, stand up boards and aqua-cycles. The lake is stocked with trout, steel head and other fish if swimming is not your thing. There is a pleasant one- hour lake walk you may want to stroll at sun up or sun down. The Lake Gregory is strictly a swimming and fishing lake. So there are no noisy jet skis or power boats to break the relaxing mood.
Don’t miss Market nights Fridays from 5 pm to 9 pm. There are a variety of vendors, including produce, live music and drinks. You can bring the kids to enjoy the evening too. Visit the Lake Gregory web site to find out if your favorite band is playing at http://www.lakegregoryrecreation.com/.
Another popular summer event is called Corks and Hops. Hosted by the Crestline Chamber of Commerce on the first Saturday of the month until October. Buy your tickets on line in advance and save $10. The Cost is $35 and includes 11 samples of different craft beers or a selection of wine. The event takes place right in town and a shuttle escorts guest to the many different pour stations. Each station has different vendor art to browse. Check out more information at https://www.crestlinechamber.org/
Jamboree Days is just around the corner. This year the event is July 5- July 7. The annual parade is July 6 at 10 am. Fireworks start at 9 am at the lake. I will have more detailed information later this month.http://www.lakegregoryrecreation.com
